Searching for Sea Glass - A Community Peer Activity

Join us for a community peer activity at the beach searching for sea glass on February 5th, 2024. We will meet up at 1:45 PM at the Mile ‘0’ marker on Dallas Road (across from the Terry Fox statue.)

Searching for Sea Glass - A Community Peer Activity

Advocating for systemic change is exhausting work. We want to take a day off to focus on celebrating our community and collective healing. Searching for sea glass can be a fun and therapeutic activity, enjoy a beach day with friends!

You will need:

  • outdoor clothing & footwear (waterproof with grip suggested)

  • a small bag for sea treasure

  • optional water or snacks

*Our team will bring a bag for garbage.

Special caution: If the weather does not cooperate, we will host a zoom art-making activity as an alternative. Please check our event page on the morning of this event to confirm.

This location is not accessible for folks with mobility needs. There is a long flight of stairs and we will be climbing over slippery rock boulders to get to our destination.

We are looking forward to taking a day off advocacy work to host this community peer activity and having a beach day with friends!
