Through hosting events in our community we hope to achieve these aims:
1. To raise awareness and advocate for individuals and families struggling with eating disorders.
2. To create a sense of community and foster a sense of support.
3. To allow individuals to participate in shaping change in their community.
A peer support group for adults who struggle with disordered eating or eating disorders. This EDAW-themed meeting is a safe, inclusive, and judgement-free space to connect with your peers across the nation.
Vancouver Island Voices for Eating Disorders (VIVED) invites you to join us for our third Virtual Town Hall meeting on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM PST via Zoom to kick off National Eating Disorders Awareness Week (EDAW) – February 1 to 7, 2025.
Join VIVED at Victoria Pride Festival in the Park at MacDonald Park, located on unceded traditional lək̓ʷəŋən territory. Our booth will be near the low-sensory lounge located near the James Bay School & Community Centre on Oswego Street.

This year's Eating Disorders Awareness Week (EDAW) theme is "Transforming the Narrative: From Asks to Action." There is no better place to take a stand for action than on the steps of B.C.'s Legislative Buildings on one of the first days that government officials resume sitting. We welcome you to attend a collaborative conversation between persons with lived/living experience, professionals, and loved ones of those living with an eating disorder. During this event we will discuss what services there are on Vancouver Island briefly, before exploring how we can work together to expand and improve services for adults with eating disorders.
